What size oval rug should I get?
Depending on the room, a smaller over rug such as 3x5 or 4x6 would go great in a bath or entryway. A rug larger than 5x7, 6x9, or 8x10 would go great in a living room, family room, or office. Oval size like most handmade rugs come in 2x4, 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, 6x9, 8x10, and 9x12 is probably the largest that you will be able to find without having to ask for a custom made rug.
What size oval rug for a dining table?
Dining tables whether it be a square table, rectangular table or oval table; generally follow the same rule for placing a rug under them. Ideally when sitting at the table, the back legs should land on the rug. However this is just a guideline and it's completely ok to have a more focused look and have the chairs not remain completely on the rug.
