Kilim Rugs
Kilim rugs are pileless, flatweave textiles made by hand in regions such as Persia, Turkey and Central Asia. They are tapestry woven and reversible with low density, created by interweaving warp and weft threads. Designs use geometric patterns and color fields. The lightweight build lets you lift and shake out crumbs between each vacuuming. Materials and craft carry cultural significance. Historically they served as floor coverings, wall hangings, prayer rugs, and saddle covers in nomadic cultures. The collection also includes authentic hand woven vintage rugs.
