Adib’s rugs come from cities and villages across the length and breath of Iran, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and Turkey. Each is a highly refined work of art, whether it comes from a sophisticated rug factory, a village loom or a nomadic encampment.

                 Ray and Hamid Adib were taught about Persian rugs by their late father, a noted rug manufacturer from Natanz, a region near Kashan, Iran. The elder Adib supplied wools, silks, and cotton for rugs he would commission while also buying rugs from known weavers in towns and villages encompassing a large area around Kashan and Isphahan. In their youth, Hamid and Ray followed their father’s lead, becoming experts in Persian rugs and later, making their own rug-buying trips through the same towns and villages. With two generations of experience and the knowledge of their capable staff-excellent weavers and carpet restorers in their own right- Adib’s is uniquely able to offer customers a storehouse of information about fine rugs, tapestries and runners, and a wealth of advice for the investment in and care of the hand-knotted carpets.
